With summer here, we may find ourselves taking long vacations, headed to the beach on the weekends, or just relaxing at home.
It’s good to take a break from the hectic lives we live. But that doesn’t mean we have to take a break from our fitness goals.
I know when I go on vacation or head the to the beach, I am always looking for ways to still include a fitness routine into my day. Living on the beach for most of my life meant going to the beach every weekend. I had my local gym to head to early in the morning before I packed up my swimmies and headed over the bridge.
When I went on vacation, that wasn’t an option most of the time. Plus, who wants to workout in hotel gym when it’s so beautiful in the mornings!
So what do you do?
You pack up early for the beach, maybe before the sunrise. Set up, and get ready to follow this beach interval workout!
You’ve gotten your workout in, now what. You’re hungry right? Having the proper nutrition is key, even when you are away. Protein and carbohydrates after a workout are a must. Try packing one of these three healthy post workout options!
What about the rest of the day? We all know the beach is an all day thing! Not only do we need fuel throughout the day to swim, take walks or just lay around, we also need to stay hydrated!
Pack these delicious snacks & meals while you get that golden tan!
So there you have it. You don’t have to sacrifice that rocking body you’ve worked so hard for this summer!
